오는 5월 의료산업 박람회인 ‘더 헬스 인더스트리 서밋(The Health Industry Summit, tHIS) 2015’가 리드 시노팜(Reed Sinopharm) 주관으로 오는 5월 15일부터 18일까지 중국 상하이 국립 전시 및 컨벤션 센터(National Exhibition and Convention Center)에서 개최된다.

이번 박람회는 전시장 넓이가 28만 제곱미터에 달해 올해 세계 최대 종합 의료산업 행사가 될 전망이다. 또 이번 행사는 세계 140개국에서 20여만 명의 관련 분야 전문가들이 참관해 역대 최대 규모를 기록할 것으로 예상된다.
 
이번 행사의 주관사인 리드 시노팜은 세계 선도적 행사 주관회사인 리드 엑시비션즈(Reed Exhibitions)와 중국 국영 제약 그룹인 시노팜(Sinopharm)의 합작 기업이다. 중국의 3대 의료 장비 및 제약산업 전시회인 CMEF, 팜차이나(PHARMCHINA) 및 API 차이나(API China)를 통합하여 개최하는 이번 tHIS박람회에는 6000개 업체들이 참가하여 첨단 의료 장비 및 장비 제조 기술, 의약 제형 및 성분, 의약 제조 기술, 천연 건강 및 영양제 등을 포함한 품질이 우수하고 비용 효과적인 기술과 제품을 종합적으로 전시할 예정이다.
 
이번 행사는 중국의 의료 산업이 국내 시장 중심의 발전에서 세계 시장으로 뻗어 나가는 전환점을 이루는 계기가 될 것으로 예상된다. 중국 정부가 2013년에 발표한 전략 백서에 따르면 중국의 보건 의료 부문은 오는 2020년까지 1조2000억 달러로 급성장할 것으로 전망된다.

보건 의료 산업 성장에서 의료 장비 부문이 특히 두드러진 혜택을 보고 있다. 2013년4월부터 2014년4월 사이 중국에서는1369개의 병원이 신설되었으며 그 중 99%가 민간이 자금을 투자했고 새로운 의료 기기와 서비스를 필요로 하고 있다. 올해 tHIS박람회에서 기술과 제품을 전시하는 6000개 업체 중 3000개가 의료 장비 및 서비스 업체들이다. 거기에는 GE, 지멘스, 필립스, 마인드레이(Mindray), 유나이티드 이미징(United Imaging) 등 최상위 다국적 및 중국 기업들이 포함되어 있다.

한편, API전시회를 겨냥한 제약회사 및 유통업체들이 나머지 절반을 차지할 것으로 보인다. tHIS박람회에서 새로이 급성장하는 시장 부문은 올해 참가 규모가 두 배로 커진 Natural Health and Nutrition China 로 대표되는 천연 건강 및 영양제품 산업이다.
 
행사 주관사는 이번 행사가 폭발적인 투자 기회가 될 것으로 예상하고 제품 전시와 동시에 개최되는 100여 개의 컨퍼런스 중 주요 행사로 ‘차이나 헬스케어 인베스트먼트 서밋’(China Healthcare Investment Summit)을 개최한다고 발표했다.

The Health Industry Summit (tHIS) 2015 organized by Reed Sinopharm will be held on May 15-18, 2015, at the National Convention & Exhibitions Center in Shanghai, China. Latest figures indicate that the expo will occupy a 280,000sqm hall space, making it the largest integrated health industry event in the world in 2015. The event is also expected to break attendance records with 200,000 professional visitors from 140 countries.

The organizer Reed Sinopharm is a joint venture between the world’s leading event organizer Reed Exhibitions and China’s leading state-owned pharmaceutical group Sinopharm. tHIS, combining China’s 3 top medical equipment and pharmaceutical exhibitions CMEF, PHARMCHINA and API China, will showcase an extensive and comprehensive display of quality and cost-effective products from 6,000 exhibitors covering cutting-edge medical equipment and equipment manufacturing, pharmaceutical formulations & ingredients, manufacturing technology and natural health and nutrition and much more.

The launch of this significant event will turn a new chapter for China’s healthcare Industry, marking a transition from localized industry developments into a maturing market with global reach. A new fast growing market segment within tHIS is the natural health and nutritional products represented by the Natural health and Nutrition China which has seen participation doubling in size in 2015.

Anticipating the explosive investment opportunities, the organizer of the event announced the launch of the China Healthcare Investment Summit as the main congress heading a list of 100 conferences and events that will take place alongside the expo.
